5 different type of donations for the same mission!
Whether spontaneous or planned, did you know there are many ways to give to cancer research? You don't always have to give now, you can also plan ahead! By doing so, you'll be helping to advance cancer research and enable more Canadians to live longer.

GIFT OF SECURITIES
This allows you to donate eligible securities - stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. The added benefit/advantage are tax benefits for these types of gifts.
"We don't have children, so we like to think of others as our children. It's a way to remind us to look out for those less fortunate." - Jean B, donor to the Cancer Research Society (CRS) for over 25 years.

GIFT OF LIFE INSURANCE
You have an interesting opportunity to make a major gift at a relatively modest cost, since it is possible to make annual payments and receive a tax receipt for a tax credit.
After meeting with his financial planner, Michel, 73, decided to make a gift of life insurance to the CRS. At the time of his death, the gift in his will will allow the organization to give Michel's family a tax receipt that will give them a substantial tax credit from the government.

CHARITABLE GIFT IN A WILL
A gift in a will is an opportunity to make a significant contribution because at the time of death, a donor is in possession of greater financial resources than during his or her lifetime. Every year, generous people choose to leave a legacy of hope for future generations.
Catherine T. didn't think that her bequest in her will left to CRS upon her death in 2011 would be so far-reaching! Each year, Catherine T.'s trust provides us with a significant amount of money. CRS uses this gift for a triple gift campaign. In the spring of 2022, the campaign raised nearly $2.4 million!

MONTHLY GIVING
A monthly donation is one of the best ways to contribute to our mission, as it ensures a stable income throughout the year. You can cancel or change the amount at any time. It helps reduce our administrative costs, allowing us to devote more of our financial resources to cancer research.
Not having a large budget but wanting to support the cause that is dear to him, Mathieu made the decision to donate $10 per month to the CRS. At the end of the year, his donation is worth $120, which does not exceed his budget. A little bit each month adds up to a lot over the year.

GIFTS-IN-KIND
Gifts of property, also known as "gifts-in-kind," involve real estate, special collections, cultural property and works of art. These gifts must be approved by the organization and accompanied by certificates of fair market value.
Since 2010, a major collector of Jean-Paul Riopelle's work has regularly donated silkscreens valued at between $4,500 and $7,500. Over the years, CRS has issued $46,000 in tax receipts to this generous donor!
